The Years garners 5 Olivier Award nominations

And the Olivier nominees are…

Best New Play: The Years

Best Director: Eline Arbo

Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Romola Garai

Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Gina McKee

Best Sound Design: Thjis van Vuure

Written and directed by Olivier Award Best Director nominee Eline Arbo, this deeply emotional, “startling and enthralling stage adaptation” (Evening Standard) of Nobel Prize winner Annie Ernaux’s masterpiece Les Années transcends traditional storytelling, authentically portraying the essence of living a woman’s life —painful and passionate, yet joyful and unsentimental.

Following its acclaimed run at the Almeida Theatre, The Years is now playing to sold-out audiences at the Harold Pinter Theatre, receiving overwhelming praise from both critics and theatregoers. Arbo’s “inspired direction draws astonishingly precise and nuanced performances” (Daily Mail) from Olivier Award Best Supporting Actress nominees Romola Garai and Gina McKee. Alongside an extraordinary ensemble, they deliver “an acting masterclass” (The Times), their performances '“glorious and continually unexpected” (Observer).

“It’s what every play aspires to achieve but very few actually do” (Tatler).

With the show ending 19 April, book now before it’s completely sold out.
