Women-led production The Years transfers to the West End

This week we announced that Sonia Friedman Productions will produce The Years in the West End, following sold-out runs at the Almeida and Internationaal Theater Amsterdam.

Based on Nobel Prize winner Annie Ernaux’s critically acclaimed hybrid memoir, Eline Arbo directs her own adaptation in an English version by Stephanie Bain.

Deborah Findlay, Romola Garai, Gina McKee, Anjli Mohindra and Harmony Rose-Bremner reprise their roles, all playing Annie at various stages of her life.

The production marks only the second time in history that a West End play was written, directed and produced by women, with an all-female cast, following 2019’s Emilia by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm.

Tickets are on sale now.
